Transport Dispatcher – Distribution Center

About the role

Action is expanding its logistics network with a new Distribution Center in Ferentino, Italy. As a Transport Dispatcher you will coordinate daily outbound deliveries to stores, ensuring timely and complete shipments while supporting warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Run the daily dispatch operation, assigning transport trips to 2‑3 partner carriers.
• Receive and process arrival and departure information from carriers and update dispatch plans.
• Monitor departures and deliveries, taking corrective actions for delays or disturbances.
• Communicate dock‑planning, trailer returns and pre‑loading activities with warehouse teams.
• Hand out transport documentation and instructions to drivers.
• Ensure carriers comply with safety rules and standard operating procedures.
• Provide administrative support for waybill administration and performance data required for carrier payments and reporting.
• Participate in weekly operations meetings with transport partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in transport dispatch or a similar logistics role.
• Fluent in Italian and good command of English.
• Highly punctual, disciplined and cost‑conscious.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve operational issues quickly.

Required skills

• Knowledge of waybill administration and transport documentation.
