Accountant

About the role

Emeren Italia is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations for its Italian entity. The role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with Italian GAAP (OIC), and supports both local and group‑level financial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Italian GAAP.
• Process supplier invoices, manage customer invoicing, monitor receivables and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, corporate income tax and withholding tax filings; stay updated on legislative changes.
• Post and reconcile payroll entries, coordinate with external payroll provider and handle related statutory filings.
• Maintain project‑level accounting records for solar development and construction projects, track budgets, and produce project financial reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audit and tax provision processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and Italian tax regulations.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
