Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Italy. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle for vehicle inventory, receivables, payables and supporting the preparation of financial statements for a global automotive company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the accounts receivable ledger, verify customer payments, track overdue amounts and coordinate collection efforts.
• Process accounts payable, match purchase documents with invoices, review payment applications and reconcile with suppliers.
• Handle end‑to‑end vehicle inventory accounting, verify inbound/outbound documents, track VIN‑related entries and support periodic inventory counts.
• Assist the Chief Accountant with financial statement preparation, audit support and tax filing, ensuring proper voucher and statement filing.
• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, sales and other departments to validate business data, resolve accounting anomalies and ensure smooth accounting operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; local Italian accounting qualification is a plus.
• More than 3 years of financial accounting experience in Italian enterprises, preferably in the vehicle import industry.
• Strong knowledge of Italian OIC standards and accounting processes for inventory, receivables, payables and fixed assets.
• Meticulous, responsible and capable of effective communication and coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP Enterprise or a comparable electronic accounting system.
