Accountant – US GAAP (Hospitality Clients)

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a reliable Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of hospitality clients operating under US GAAP. This client‑facing position offers full ownership of the accounting cycle and the chance to work remotely with companies across the hotel and restaurant sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple hospitality clients, including general ledger management and month‑end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Coordinate directly with clients to gather information, clarify transactions, and communicate results.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Adapt quickly to evolving client needs and varying business models.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with full‑cycle close responsibility.
• Strong, practical knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience serving US‑based or US‑facing clients.
• Ability to manage several client accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable working without micromanagement.
