Application Development & R&D Engineer

About the role

Lincotek is seeking an Application Development & R&D Engineer to join its headquarters R&D team in Rubbiano, Italy. The role focuses on creating and qualifying new coating processes and advanced material applications for a range of industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development projects for advanced coating solutions, coordinating with internal functions and external customers.
• Define process parameters and manufacturing strategies, including the creation of robotic and CNC programs for Thermal Spray deposition.
• Conduct process analysis in testing and operational environments and present findings through structured reports and technical presentations.
• Prepare operating instructions and technical documentation to enable smooth transfer of processes to Operations.
• Support the integration of new processes at Lincotek sites or customer facilities and provide troubleshooting assistance during transfer.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field (PhD or equivalent professional experience preferred).
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to adapt in dynamic, technology‑driven industrial settings.
• Customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication and attention to detail.
• High energy, motivation, and passion for innovative manufacturing processes.
