Architect – Technical Facilities Design

About the role

Join Bryden Wood’s Milan studio as an Architect and work on some of the most complex technical facilities in Europe, including data centres, life‑science labs and advanced manufacturing plants. You will be part of an international architectural team that collaborates closely with engineers, sustainability experts and project managers to deliver high‑performance, low‑carbon buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into the Milan architectural team while contributing to major international projects.
• Support and coordinate the architectural design of highly technical facilities such as data centres, life‑science and advanced manufacturing sites.
• Develop coordinated technical solutions from concept through construction, including permitting and construction documentation.
• Lead BIM‑driven design delivery and ensure multidisciplinary coordination with structures, civils, MEP and sustainability disciplines.
• Produce high‑quality construction documents and assist in the transition from design to on‑site execution.

• Qualified architect with a strong interest in technical facilities and sustainability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM tools and workflows.
• Experience producing construction documentation for complex facilities.
• Strong coordination skills across architectural, structural, civil and MEP disciplines.
• Knowledge of permitting processes for large‑scale technical projects.
