Area Manager – Mediterranean Region

About the role

Emerging Travel Group is seeking an Area Manager for the Mediterranean region to strengthen and grow its hotel portfolio. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with hotel partners, driving performance, and identifying growth opportunities across Portugal, Turkey, Greece and Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional revenue targets and balance growth with margin and operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute a regional strategy tailored to market maturity.
• Manage contracting mix, acquire new supply and optimise existing portfolio performance.
• Maintain deep market intelligence on demand trends, competitor pricing and distribution.
• Lead multiple regional teams, set KPIs, drive accountability and develop local leaders.
• Activate revenue in under‑developed areas and support pricing and availability optimisation.
• Ensure cost control and clear visibility over regional performance.

Required profile

• Proven commercial acumen with experience in hospitality or travel‑tech environments.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse market data and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams across different markets.
