Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Cumming Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of construction, real estate, and infrastructure projects. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and develop a solid foundation in project management within a global consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in applying the full range of Project Management processes across assigned projects.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for project delivery, handling tasks with minimal supervision.
• Support knowledge capture, sharing, and innovation initiatives.
• Help prepare and evaluate tenders, contractor selections, and contract documentation.
• Contribute to risk, value, and change management activities.
• Perform contract administration, including monthly reporting and project meetings.
• Ensure all work outputs meet high quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Follow company policies, especially Health & Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a construction‑related environment.
• Developing knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
• Basic understanding of leadership techniques.
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills for client and staff interaction.
• High degree of integrity and commitment to professional development.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management processes such as risk, opportunities, issues, and change control.
• Basic understanding of construction industry technical concepts.
