Assistant Store Manager - Via Del Babiuno, Rome

About the role

ALO is looking for a Sales & Service Manager (titled Assistant Store Manager) for its studio on Via Del Babiuno in Rome. The role is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for turning the business and guest experience strategy into reality on the floor, with a focus on exceptional guest experience, sales targets and team development. It is a full-time position with a 40-hour week (5 days), split between 75% of the time on the retail floor and coaching the team.

Key responsibilities

• Sales & Service leader: investigate sales opportunities with the General Manager, oversee the team's guest experience, maintain client relationships, cover the sales floor and build the store's sales strategy
• Business leader: represent the business in meetings and calls, review and monitor budget, expenses and sell-through metrics, and help plan quarterly reviews and sales plans
• People leader: coach and develop the team, run succession planning and recruitment, write schedules with the General Manager, and ensure the team reflects ALO's mission
• Business partner: protect operational efficiency, implement the General/Store Manager's vision and work cross-functionally with partners

Required profile

• Prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry
• Mid-senior level
• Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment and a business-owner mindset
• Available for opening, closing and weekend shifts

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Time management and independent work ethic
