Backend Software Developer (Python/Go) – Turin

About the role

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to design and evolve the software stack, system utilities, and developer frameworks that power Arduino’s high‑performance Linux platforms. You will join an inclusive team of specialists focused on distributed backend systems, software architecture, and developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python or Go based software libraries and frameworks for Arduino’s platforms.
• Architect, containerise and deploy applications using Docker to ensure scalable environments.
• Design and implement system‑level tools and command‑line interfaces that improve interaction with hardware.
• Collaborate with software architects to define platform standards and best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and support for internal developer teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (or higher).
• 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent with a master’s/PhD).
• Proven experience with C, C++, Java, Python or similar languages.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
