Building Architecture and Sustainability Architect

About the role
The Building Architecture and Sustainability Architect will lead the design and delivery of complex building projects for RINA, focusing on sustainability, building physics and seamless integration with engineering disciplines. The role combines creative vision with technical performance to ensure projects meet functional, aesthetic, regulatory and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative, sustainable architectural solutions that align with client needs, technical constraints and local regulations.
- Define project scope, schedules and deliverables in collaboration with engineering project management teams; monitor progress and control time and cost.
- Integrate building physics and performance criteria, working with specialists to embed energy efficiency, thermal comfort and environmental quality.
- Ensure all architectural plans comply with local and international building codes, zoning laws and sustainability certifications.
- Guide junior architects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, sustainability consultants) to maintain project cohesion.
- Support site supervision, preserving design intent during construction and resolving technical challenges.
- Act as primary contact for clients and stakeholders, communicating design concepts, technical decisions and project updates.
- Prepare high‑quality technical documentation, presentations and reports for internal and external review.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Professional architectural license or equivalent (preferred).
- At least 4 years of experience in architectural design and project leadership, preferably in integrated design environments.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable building design and familiarity with energy modelling or environmental assessment tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction technologies and materials, especially for projects in India and the Middle East.
- Excellent organizational, communication and team‑management abilities.
