About the role
San Clemente Palace Venice, a five‑star luxury urban resort on a private island, is seeking a motivated Chef de Rang to join its restaurant team for the 2026 season (end March to end October). The role involves delivering high‑quality food and beverage service to guests while upholding the hotel’s standards and values.
Key responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages in the assigned outlet with courteous, professional, and efficient service.
- Maintain punctuality, proper uniform, personal hygiene, and grooming standards.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, monitor supplies, and minimize waste.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly, reporting to supervisors.
- Promote upselling and suggest alternatives, ensuring product knowledge of all menu items.
- Operate the POS system according to training and adhere to hotel policies on safety, hygiene, and HACCP.
Required profile
- Strong commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, luxury hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Flexibility to work seasonal schedule from March to October.
