Commissioning Project Lead

About the role

Global Commissioning is seeking a Commissioning Project Lead to oversee the commissioning of hyperscale and mission‑critical data centre projects across the UK and Europe. Based in Milan, you will manage the full commissioning lifecycle from design review to client handover on some of the most advanced facilities in the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for complex MEP systems in data centres.
• Manage commissioning engineers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Drive programme delivery, ensuring quality, safety and schedule compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Review designs, identify value‑engineering opportunities and optimise solutions.
• Produce commissioning plans, test scripts, reports and comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data centre commissioning.
• Strong background in MEP commissioning (electrical or mechanical).
• Previous M&E project management experience on large‑scale projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
• Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management capabilities.
