Construction and Industrial Services Project Engineering Manager

About the role

Join Nestlé Purina’s new greenfield project in Mantova as the Construction and Industrial Services Project Engineering Manager. You will lead the execution of construction and industrial services scopes, ensuring the new manufacturing site is delivered on time, within budget, and meets all safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project execution and manage a budget exceeding 20 MCHF.
• Lead a cross‑functional team and coordinate third‑party contractors such as general contractors, system integrators, and technical clients.
• Develop and issue the Project‑specific User Requirement Specification (URS) and integrate standard URS from corporate functions.
• Oversee tendering, work allocation, FAT, SAT, commissioning and close‑out of snag lists.
• Ensure smooth start‑up of utilities (electricity, steam, refrigeration, water, effluent treatment, compressed air) and compliance with local regulations and Nestlé safety standards.
• Control project documentation, digitalisation, and communication with local authorities, especially on environmental aspects.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering with a mandatory background in civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in complex construction sites and industrial services engineering, preferably in food‑related manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of international manufacturing project management experience with PMI certification.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Experience managing capital investment projects of around 15 MCHF.
