Construction Manager – Project Management

About the role

The Cumming Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead complex construction projects from inception to completion. Reporting to the Project Management department, you will coordinate all aspects of scheduling, budgeting, and on‑site execution while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Determine labor needs and dispatch crews to job sites.
• Inspect projects for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
• Interpret plans and contracts for staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, change orders, and amendments with architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Procure materials and supplies required for project execution.
• Develop budget estimates, track costs, and produce progress reports.
• Implement and monitor quality‑control programs.
• Investigate site incidents, delays, or damages and enforce corrective actions.
• Manage project schedule, scope, and cost, identifying value‑engineering opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
