Data Engineer

About the role

Booz Allen is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that turn large, diverse data sets into actionable insights for mission‑critical projects ranging from fraud detection to cancer research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage scalable data platforms and ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in an agile, cross‑functional team.
• Assess, design, and implement solutions for both structured and unstructured data.
• Maintain data quality, security, and performance across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience with programming or querying languages such as Python, R, Scala, or SQL.
• 2+ years developing and maintaining data applications for reporting and analytics.
• Experience creating workflows to retrieve, parse, and process varied data sources.
• Secret security clearance and an active passport valid for at least six months.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
