Data Team Lead, EMEA

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Data Team Lead for its EMEA team in Milan. The role manages end-to-end delivery of data management services for single- and multi-service projects with minimal guidance, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget. It covers project planning, execution and close-out, financial management of data management activities, communications and milestone deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Gather study setup requirements through discussion with stakeholders.
• Support validation of new device integrations with minimal guidance.
• Oversee and perform regular data cleaning to ensure clean, quality data delivered on time to the sponsor.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and agreed timelines and scope of work.
• Support training of new joiners and lead internal study meetings, audits and study kick-off meetings.
• Track and manage projects, monitor progress, identify risks and take corrective action.
• With guidance, oversee implementation of new technology and database revisions.
• Work with the programming team on process innovation and automation.
• Review and give expert opinion on core operating procedures and working instructions.
• Stay compliant with training and eSOP reading, and communicate collaboratively with the line manager and colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in health, clinical, biological or mathematical sciences or a related field.
• 3-4 years of direct data management experience, including at least 1 year as a CDM project lead.
• Fluent spoken English and advanced written English.
• Advanced understanding of the drug development lifecycle and the overall clinical research process.

Required skills

• Advanced computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Data management and clinical data management (CDM).

The stated base pay range is EUR 38,000 to EUR 71,300 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule; incentives and other benefits may also apply.
