DevOps Engineer – AWS & Kubernetes

About the role

Join SAMY as a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable AWS cloud environment. You will work closely with development teams to accelerate delivery of reliable services through automation, Kubernetes operations, and continuous innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimise secure and scalable AWS cloud environments and services.
• Assess, integrate, and deploy new technologies ensuring production readiness.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform for automated provisioning.
• Manage Amazon EKS Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle, upgrades, and workload orchestration.
• Design and operate secure CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
• Apply AWS Well‑Architected Framework principles to improve existing infrastructure.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concept initiatives for AWS services and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with AWS core services (IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, EC2, etc.).
• Hands‑on expertise in Terraform and IaC practices.
• Proficiency in managing Kubernetes (EKS) and containerisation with Docker.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and collaborative attitude.
