Director of Public Relations (Luxury Communications)

About the role

Natasha Slater Studio, one of Italy’s fastest‑growing luxury communications agencies, is seeking a Director of Public Relations to lead its PR practice from Milan. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will shape strategy for a portfolio of high‑end fashion, design, hospitality and lifestyle brands while mentoring a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of luxury client accounts, developing and executing comprehensive PR and communications plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, stylists, influencers and other key industry figures.
• Oversee the agency’s press office, directing media outreach, press days, launches, VIP experiences and high‑profile events.
• Present strategies and performance reports to clients with confidence and professionalism.
• Mentor junior team members and foster their development.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the agency’s growth strategy.
• Collaborate with the Founder on the strategic development of the studio.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury PR or communications, preferably with fashion, interior design, hospitality or lifestyle brands.
• Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Proven track record of leading client accounts and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong organisational skills and a commercial, solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Passion for fashion, design, travel and contemporary culture, with willingness to attend evening events and fashion weeks.

Required skills

• Experience organising luxury events, press days, launches and VIP activations.
• Understanding of influencer marketing, digital communications and the evolving media landscape.
