Editorial Assistant

About the role

As an Editorial Assistant you will curate and present sports content on DAZN’s Italian platform, driving fan engagement and discoverability. The role blends editorial creativity with operational precision, focusing on live and on‑demand events, especially Serie A and other top‑tier competitions.

Key responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging headlines and descriptions for live and on‑demand sports events.
• Select and manage imagery for homepage features to maximise click‑through and engagement.
• Ensure all metadata for content is accurate to support discoverability.
• Monitor playback and platform performance during live events, escalating technical issues promptly.
• Manage homepage UI elements in real time, adapting to schedule changes, breaking news, or editorial priorities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (planning, production, CRM, marketing) and align with the Editorial On‑Platform Lead on strategy.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, to support live sports broadcasting.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in digital editorial, online sports writing or content management.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent Italian and professional English communication skills.

• Metadata management and content tagging.
• Basic platform performance monitoring tools.
