Electrical Design Specialist

About the role

Leonardo, a global aerospace, defence and security group, is looking for an Electrical Design Specialist to design the electrical parts needed to integrate the architectures defined by on-board and mission systems. The role starts from the ICD requirement documents and produces the electrical diagrams and wiring that define the electro-avionic configuration at aircraft level. The positions are based in Turin, Pomigliano or Venegono Superiore.

Key responsibilities

• Define the electrical and electronic components (cables, connectors, relays, diodes) and issue programme specifications for them, including indications for the Electrical Standards
• Prepare and issue functional and interconnection diagrams and equipment lists (series diagrams 1, 2 and 3)
• Select and size electrical and electronic components and cables for series aircraft and for the FTI data-acquisition system of prototypes
• Prepare technical documentation for aircraft electrical configuration, including modification and new-system documentation (RFA, RMA, ACD, technical notes, SB, retrofit diagrams), and issue purchase material lists (IPAM/EAMR) and Drawing Office Instructions (DOI) for prototype modifications
• Support the other design and production departments in finalising the electrical design

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Physics
• Junior profile: 0-3 years of experience
• Good level of written and spoken English (B2)
• Availability to travel outside Italy
• Problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure and adaptability
