Eligibility Associate

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an Eligibility Associate to join the Division of Family & Children Services in Rome, Floyd County. The role supports the Office of Family Independence by processing eligibility applications and providing customer service to clients and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general office duties such as keyboarding, filing, and managing correspondence.
• Receive, screen, and register applications for Office of Family Independence eligibility programs.
• Provide information and assistance to clients, families, and partners via phone and in‑person visits.
• Route telephone communications and follow up to resolve client issues.
• Maintain confidential records using electronic application, document imaging, and eligibility systems.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and standard office software to complete daily tasks.
• Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience involving customer contact or interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
