ESG Expert (m/f/d)

About the role

As an ESG Expert you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing ESG strategies across European sites. You will support the Net Zero 2050 strategy, ensure compliance with evolving ESG regulations, and drive sustainability initiatives throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement ESG strategy, policies, mid‑term plans and management systems.
• Monitor legal, normative and societal ESG developments.
• Support rollout of the Net Zero 2050 strategy at European level.
• Maintain ESG documentation (human rights, anti‑corruption, anti‑bribery) within the management system.
• Implement ESG tools such as double materiality matrix, life‑cycle assessment, supply‑chain due diligence and stakeholder dialogues.
• Maintain ESG certifications (ISO 50001, ISCC Plus) and respond to customer ESG inquiries.
• Coordinate EcoVadis database entries and prepare TfS audits.
• Collect, report and communicate ESG data (GRI, CDP, WDP, UNGC Communication on Progress, Sustainability Report).
• Gather ESG success stories for internal and external publications.
• Design and deliver ESG training for employees and present updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, business administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of international ESG standards and certification schemes.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive, structured working style with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel between European sites.
