Facility & Construction Supervisor/Manager

About the role

The Facility & Construction Supervisor (FCS) leads the development of retail projects for Hermès in Italy and Greece and oversees the facility management of the subsidiary’s stores. The role combines project management of new store openings, renovations and restyling with day‑to‑day maintenance supervision, ensuring all work meets Hermès’ standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Draft store briefs and create comprehensive project plans, timelines and schedules from groundbreaking to store opening.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and internal teams (Operations, Visual, Retail, IT, HR) to align design, safety and operational requirements.
• Manage project budgets, monitor construction costs, review invoices, handle change orders and ensure cost‑effective delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors and conduct regular site inspections for quality and compliance.
• Supervise ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of all stores, external warehouses and headquarters, supporting the Facility Coordinator/Specialist.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are enforced and that store layouts, fixtures, signage and IT systems are ready for sales operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail construction, facility management or related project management roles.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders across design, operations and technical domains.
• Demonstrated budget responsibility and experience handling invoices, change orders and cost control.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and contract negotiation.
• Fluent in English; Italian and/or Greek language skills are a plus.
