Field Technician

About the role

PIPECARE EUROPE is seeking an experienced Field Technician to support pipeline integrity projects across Europe. The role involves planning, executing and reporting on pigging, inline inspection (ILI) and cleaning operations while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily and express reports.
• Discuss and organise required equipment and tools such as auxiliaries, AGM’s, DGPS, magnets, launching trays and spares.
• Study project documents, operation manuals and pigging procedures.
• Establish professional contacts with client field personnel.
• Execute field work safely and efficiently following PipeCare QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate activities between PipeCare team, subcontractors, clients and other parties.
• Perform ILI runs in compliance with POF and API standards without data loss.
• Carry out cleaning runs to meet PipeCare criteria.
• Conduct site and DGP surveys according to company procedures.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of operation planning experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
