Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will own the month‑end close and management reporting for Rayner Italia Srl, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for the Group. The role also supports local commercial teams and the Head of Finance – Europe and works closely with Group Reporting, Shared Services and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full month‑end close for the Italian entity, including journal posting, accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation, COGS and FX revaluations.
• Prepare and present the monthly Management Pack (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance analysis).
• Oversee Accounts Payable end‑to‑end, supplier reconciliations and payment runs.
• Maintain daily cash book, perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Execute stock movements in the ERP/WMS, perform inventory reconciliations and ensure stock accuracy.
• Maintain fixed asset register and process related journals.
• Prepare intercompany recharge invoices, post loan adjustments and reconcile intercompany balances across European entities.
• Produce Group schedules, parallel accounting documents and support external auditors (PWC/BDO).
• Handle VAT adjustments, transfer‑pricing entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead the implementation of NetSuite for the Italian entity.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance or accounting with experience in month‑end close and management reporting.
• Knowledge of Italian accounting standards, VAT and transfer‑pricing regulations.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external advisors.
