Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join an Italian energy company based in Milan. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounting and financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting and effective cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial operations, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Manage analytical accounting and coordinate with external advisors.
• Monitor and control costs, and coordinate tax matters with external consultants.
• Support project financing activities, including technical and legal due diligence.
• Contribute to treasury optimization and group cash‑flow management.
• Assist in the implementation of corporate policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of finance and control experience in the Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial sector.
• Experience in project financing activities.
• Degree in Economics or Finance.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work autonomously.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills.

What we offer

• Base salary range €60,000 – €75,000 per year, under the CCNL Commercio collective agreement.
• Hybrid work model with two remote days per week.
