Freelance Data Science Engineer – Python & SQL

About the role

We are looking for an experienced freelance Data Science Engineer to create realistic, computationally intensive data science problems for AI testing projects. The work is fully remote and project‑based, allowing you to contribute your expertise to a variety of industry scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Design original data‑science problems that simulate real‑world analytical workflows across telecom, finance, government, e‑commerce, and healthcare.
• Create Python‑based tasks using Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit‑learn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
• Ensure problems are deterministic, reproducible, and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Base problems on genuine business challenges such as customer analytics, risk assessment, fraud detection, forecasting, and optimization.
• Develop end‑to‑end pipelines covering data ingestion, cleaning, EDA, modeling, validation, and deployment considerations.
• Incorporate big‑data processing scenarios that require scalable computational approaches.
• Verify solutions with standard data‑science libraries and document problem statements clearly.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data‑science experience with measurable business impact.
• Strong portfolio of completed projects or publications demonstrating real‑world problem solving.
• Expertise in Python programming for data science and advanced statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases).
• Understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Fluent written English (C1+).
