Full‑Time Ophthalmic Imager (Level 2) – Naples, FL

About the role

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Imager Level 2 to join its Naples, FL clinical team. The specialist will perform a range of ocular diagnostic tests and manage imaging data within the electronic medical record and PACS systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as color fundus photography, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, OCT, automated perimetry, slit‑lamp and external photography, and ocular motility photography.
• Document test results, upload images to EMR/PACS, and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Provide patient‑centric care while adhering to infection‑control, safety, and confidentiality standards.
• Support clinical research, assist with training of residents, fellows, and visiting technicians, and act as a preceptor and super‑user for imaging technology.
• Travel to satellite eye centers as needed and work evenings or weekends when required.

• Strong organizational skills for managing clinical workflow and stock rooms.
• Willingness to attend mandatory training and educational courses.
