G7 Military Exercise Planner – Vicenza, Italy

About the role

Peraton is seeking an experienced G7 Military Exercise Planner to join its Southern European Task Force‑Africa (SETAF‑AF) Strategic Mission Support Program in Vicenza, Italy. The role supports U.S. African Command, U.S. Army Europe‑Africa and SETAF‑AF exercises across Europe and Africa, requiring frequent travel and coordination with multinational partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute USAFRICOM, USAREUR‑AF and SETAF‑AF exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
• Facilitate all aspects of exercise coordination, including orders production, concept development and multi‑year planning.
• Develop, coordinate and conduct Command Post Exercise (CPX) training with emphasis on Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) and operational environment creation.
• Manage JELC events, ensure alignment with strategic directives, and maintain exercise documentation.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to the G7 Staff Directorate and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a G7‑level Military Exercise Planner.
• Strong familiarity with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and the Military Decision‑Making Process (MDMP).
• Ability to translate strategic directives into comprehensive exercise designs and plans.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Africa and other global locations; relocation assistance available.
