Group Controller

About the role

The Group Controller will lead the financial performance of a multinational automotive industrial group, supporting strategic decisions and governance while continuously improving management control systems and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group planning and controlling cycle, including medium‑term plan, budget, forecast and long‑term plans.
• Analyse financial and business performance, define actions to improve profitability, cash generation and ROCE.
• Monitor profitability by customer, product line and project, including new investments.
• Oversee financial validation processes (CAA/IAR, CGU impairment tests) and internal control and risk management.
• Manage working capital and Group cash reporting in line with strategy.
• Support the CFO and General Management on acquisitions, divestments and statutory/consolidated statements.
• Coordinate the international finance network of local controllers.
• Define Group KPIs, govern IFRS principles and oversee finance training.
• Drive evolution of reporting and control systems, with a focus on SAP.
• Responsible for information security and data protection within the perimeter.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in Group Controlling within industrial companies.
• Background in audit and structured corporate environments.
• Degree in Economics, Finance or related fields; MBA or postgraduate management education is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Strong leadership, authority and ability to work in entrepreneurial governance environments.
• Hands‑on approach combined with strategic and industrial mindset.
