Head of Marketplace – Southern Europe (Italy, Greece, Malta)

About the role

As the Head of Marketplace for Southern Europe, you will lead pricing and incentive strategies across Italy, Greece and Malta, ensuring Uber’s mobility services remain competitive, reliable and convenient. Reporting to the local General Manager, you will combine data‑driven insights with operational levers to drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify root causes of marketplace reliability and efficiency issues and implement scalable solutions.
• Manage pricing, prepare and execute price adjustments, and launch new pricing technologies.
• Design and execute rider and driver investment strategies.
• Use business modelling, statistical techniques and experimentation to influence outcomes.
• Lead a team of four professionals, fostering high performance.
• Monitor competition and contribute to competitive strategy.
• Participate in the Southern Europe Leadership Team, shaping regional mobility goals.
• Plan and lead multiple projects in a complex, fast‑changing environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a fast‑paced, data‑driven role (e.g., consulting, investment banking, analytics).
• At least 4 years of people‑management experience.
• Strategic mindset with ability to balance big‑picture vision and operational detail.
• High curiosity, adaptability and a “get‑things‑done” attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to senior executives.
• Fluency in English and either Italian or Greek.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or equivalent.
