Head of Simplification Division (Luxembourg)

About the role

The European Investment Bank is looking for a senior leader to head its Simplification Division at the Luxembourg headquarters. The role will steer the Bank’s agenda to streamline internal processes, reduce complexity and improve staff experience in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic direction of the Simplification Division, ensuring alignment with the EIB Group’s reform agenda.
• Identify, prioritize and monitor simplification initiatives across the Bank, focusing on high‑impact opportunities.
• Develop structured approaches to capture, assess and report on simplification projects.
• Lead the division’s work programme, mobilising internal and external resources to deliver timely, high‑quality outputs.
• Collaborate with Directorates, Services and senior management to embed simplification efforts within broader operational activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale change or simplification programmes within a complex, multi‑national organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
