Hospital Affairs Lead – Italy (South)

About the role

Rhythm is seeking a Hospital Affairs Lead to join its Italy field‑based team, focusing on rare MC4R pathway diseases. The role combines sales ownership with scientific partnership, driving growth for an approved product across Southern Italy while supporting comprehensive care and patient support programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional sales responsibility for the product and deliver growth in line with business expectations.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key external experts, payers, multidisciplinary stakeholders and hospital pharmacists.
• Support and expand comprehensive care programmes and patient‑support initiatives.
• Facilitate referral pathways between peripheral sites and prescribing centres.
• Implement an omnichannel customer approach tailored to segmentation and individual preferences.
• Utilise the CRM system for business planning, account planning, tracking and reporting.
• Collect and share market, customer and competitor insights to optimise patient management.
• Lead or support regional and national conferences, educational meetings and key projects such as national meetings.

Required profile

• Academic degree in science, economics or related field; MBA, PharmD or PhD is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of documented sales experience in the pharma/biotech industry in Italy, preferably in orphan or specialty markets.
• Proven track record of successful product launches and relationship building with HCPs, specialist nurses, hospital pharmacists, payers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in facilitating referral pathways and managing complex stakeholder networks.
