Hotel Director – Lead Onboard Hotel Operations

About the role

The Hotel Director is responsible for leading all Hotel Operations aboard the vessel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and achieving company‑wide performance targets. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee multiple departments and drive results across key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the day‑to‑day operations of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Finance, Entertainment, IT & Data Systems, Cruise Sales and other revenue‑generating areas.
• Set, monitor and achieve KPIs aligned with corporate objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, resource allocation and workforce planning for the Hotel Operations department.
• Ensure compliance with quality service standards, personalized service delivery and guest satisfaction evaluation processes.
• Lead a culturally diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in a luxury (4‑ or 5‑star) hotel or cruise‑industry environment.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Global perspective with experience managing multicultural teams.
• Knowledge of business planning, strategic execution, resource and workforce management.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field (or equivalent progressive experience).

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with computer software applications.
