Hotel Maintenance Technician – Facility Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the facilities team at a leading hotel in Milan. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of all building systems, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, heating and mechanical systems.
• Carry out quick repairs for breakdowns reported by guests or hotel personnel.
• Inspect boilers, HVAC units, lighting, elevators and other technical infrastructure on a regular basis.
• Assist with minor carpentry, painting and masonry tasks as needed.
• Maintain order in technical areas, tool storage and material stock.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external contractors for specialised work.
• Prepare maintenance reports and log any required replacements or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire‑prevention and hygiene regulations, including CEI standards.
• Respond promptly to technical emergencies and support testing or certification activities.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Possession of PES/PAV/PEI (CEI 11‑27) certification is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in the hospitality sector is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
• No supervisory experience required.
