HPC System and Network Administrator

About the role

Cineca is seeking motivated professionals to join its HPC Systems, Networks and Storage Team. You will work on cutting‑edge high‑performance, quantum and AI computing infrastructures, ensuring they run efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, optimise and manage Cineca’s high‑performance, quantum and AI computers.
• Maintain and administer associated storage systems and network infrastructure.
• Optimise and manage partner high‑performance and AI computers, including their storage and networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical, scientific or computational sciences (graduating students may be considered).
• Experience in Linux systems management and/or network management.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Network design and optimisation experience.
• Understanding of IT security principles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for system administration.
• High‑performance filesystem administration.
• Network administration.

• Gross annual salary between €30,000 and €40,000.
