HSE Trainer – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

Human Technopole is seeking an HSE Trainer to design, coordinate and deliver health, safety and environmental training for staff and external personnel at its Milan campus. Reporting to the Head of HSE, the trainer will help build a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across the institute.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage HSE training programmes in collaboration with the Head of HSE, identifying needs for new hires, employees and emergency teams.
• Deliver onboarding, refresher and on‑the‑job training for internal staff, contractors and maintenance workers.
• Support incident investigations by providing corrective‑action training and promoting awareness of safety, environmental protection and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training materials and facilities, ensuring compliance with Italian legislation.
• Track training progress, keep accurate documentation and conduct audits to close knowledge gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of experience as an ASPP, prevention technician or safety liaison in a laboratory setting.
• Working knowledge of Italian health‑safety legislation.
• Fluency in English and Italian, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with SAP, PowerBI or other training‑management tools (preferred).
