Hybrid Project Engineer

About the role

Walter Italia is seeking a Hybrid Project Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to both internal and external stakeholders. The role combines product development, pre‑sales and post‑sales technical assistance, and hands‑on design work to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical advice and support to resolve product and service issues for customers and internal teams.
• Design and develop products, equipment, and tools using CAD/CAM/CAE while ensuring performance, cost, and quality targets.
• Analyse equipment specifications and process requirements to create efficient, functional designs.
• Provide end‑to‑end technical support across pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, including solution proposal, implementation, and integration.
• Develop application areas, deliver training, and troubleshoot for partners and customers.
• Prepare engineering documentation, support validation, testing, and industrialisation processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to adapt and optimise solutions, ensuring safety compliance and smooth handover to production.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or extensive experience in sales management with engineering cutting‑tools expertise.
• Proven ability to manage external and internal customer relationships.
• Analytical, persuasive, and strong interpersonal skills; good team player.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE systems.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned area.
