Indirect Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The High‑Jewelry Operations department is seeking an Indirect Purchasing Specialist to join the HSE & Facilities team in Rome. You will be responsible for implementing the indirect purchasing strategy, ensuring timely supply of materials and services while meeting quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define purchasing strategies for each category and collaborate with internal stakeholders to draft specifications.
• Support budget definition and monitor financial performance using control tools.
• Scout, select, and manage suppliers; run tenders and contracts for existing sites and a new construction project.
• Negotiate commercial terms, formalise Service Level Agreements and optimise cost‑quality balance.
• Issue purchase orders, track supplier documentation, and monitor delivery performance.
• Analyse supplier performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in indirect purchasing within an industrial or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, negotiation techniques and supplier management.
• Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
