Indirect Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Within the High‑Jewelry Operations department, the Indirect Purchasing Specialist will join the HSE & Facilities team in Rome. The role is responsible for implementing the indirect purchasing strategy, guaranteeing the timely supply of materials and services while meeting quality and cost objectives in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define the purchasing strategy for each category of indirect spend and draft internal specifications together with requesting departments.
• Support budget definition and continuously monitor it using dedicated control tools.
• Scout and select suppliers, manage tenders and contracts for existing sites and for the construction of a new location.
• Negotiate commercial terms, formalise Service Level Agreements and optimise quality‑cost balance.
• Define and implement contracts and supply agreements for maintenance materials and services.
• Issue purchase orders, keep supplier documentation up‑to‑date and track order status.
• Monitor service execution, delivery schedules and outstanding orders in coordination with requesters.
• Analyse and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in indirect purchasing within an industrial or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Good written and spoken Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Analytical mindset, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, assertiveness and a teamwork orientation.
