Industrial Auditor

About the role

The Industrial Auditor ensures that external manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors comply with company policies, health‑, safety‑ and environment (HSE) standards, social compliance and financial regulations. The role involves planning and conducting both scheduled and unannounced on‑site visits, analysing financial and operational data, and reporting findings to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute regular and surprise visits to supplier facilities, focusing on HSE, social compliance and production capacity.
• Review financial records, payment practices and labor compensation to identify irregularities and ensure ethical dealings.
• Perform inventory checks on open orders at external manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed visit reports with observations, recommendations and corrective‑action plans, and ensure timely documentation.
• Assist in developing and delivering training programs for suppliers on ethical, social and labor compliance standards.

Required profile

• University bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial auditing or supply‑chain compliance.
• Relevant certifications such as SA8000 Lead Auditor or ISO Lead Auditor (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, supply‑chain ethics, environmental regulations and labor standards.
• Ability to travel regularly, domestically and internationally.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
