International Finance Manager

About the role

The International Finance Manager will report directly to the Group CFO and support both the CFO and CEO throughout the full M&A lifecycle, from deal origination to post‑acquisition integration. Based in Milan, the role combines strategic finance, controlling, and treasury responsibilities across multiple foreign entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CFO and CEO across the entire M&A deal lifecycle, from origination to closing and integration.
• Lead financial due diligence on acquisition targets, including EBITDA normalisation, quality of earnings, net financial position, working capital assessment, and risk identification.
• Build and maintain valuation models (DCF, market multiples) and scenario analyses to inform investment decisions.
• Structure and negotiate financial terms (price, earn‑outs, adjustments, R&W) in collaboration with legal, tax, and advisory teams.
• Manage post‑acquisition financial integration, harmonising processes, systems, and reporting.
• Oversee controlling of foreign entities: periodic P&L, balance‑sheet, cash‑flow reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Support local treasury set‑up, banking relationships, and intra‑group cash pooling.
• Lead the administrative and financial set‑up of new foreign entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Implement and migrate ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite to Microsoft Business Central) and ensure integration with Group platforms.
• Supervise general accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance, coordinating with local advisors and auditors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering or equivalent.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in structured finance with international exposure; experience in Big 4, multinationals or high‑growth companies preferred.
• Strong background in both controlling (budgeting, forecasting, reporting) and accounting (GL, period close, tax compliance).
• Hands‑on experience setting up finance and administration functions for new foreign entities.
• Deep knowledge of M&A processes, due diligence, and post‑closing integration.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2); additional languages are a plus.
