International Theatrical Public Relations Manager

About the role

Amazon MGM Studios is looking for an experienced International Theatrical Public Relations Manager to lead publicity for all theatrical releases in Italy. You will shape corporate storytelling around the studio’s expansion, act as the senior PR strategist for the Italian market, and collaborate closely with US and EMEA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic publicity campaigns for every theatrical release in Italy.
• Create and manage corporate communications that highlight Amazon MGM Studios’ theatrical growth in the region.
• Lead local agency partners and external vendors to deliver best‑in‑class PR programs.
• Organise press junkets, talent appearances, premieres, and festival collaborations across Italy.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, critics, cultural influencers, journalists, talent representatives, and industry stakeholders.
• Provide strategic counsel on cultural nuances and market opportunities to US and Italy‑based leadership.
• Manage messaging, issues handling, and support for talent, filmmakers, and corporate spokespeople.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, media coverage, and market dynamics.
• Design word‑of‑mouth screening programs, tastemaker events, and innovative activations to generate earned media.
• Oversee theatrical publicity budgets with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
• Mentor junior team members and agency staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing theatrical PR campaigns in the Italian market.
• Strong network of high‑profile media contacts, critics, and industry stakeholders in Italy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead full‑cycle publicity strategies from concept to execution.
• Experience handling high‑profile talent relationships and complex media situations.
