Junior Accountant (Passive/Active Invoices)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join a leading international fashion company in Milan. The role supports the Accounting Manager and senior finance colleagues, gradually taking ownership of key accounting activities for selected EU entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting processes, including journal entries for accounts payable, cash/bank, payroll and other general ledger items, up to trial balance.
• Execute monthly and year‑end closings, covering adjusting entries, depreciation/amortisation, intercompany checks and balance‑sheet/profit‑and‑loss reconciliations.
• Provide required information and documentation to local consultants and firms to meet statutory and fiscal deadlines, including returns, declarations and local GAAP financial statements.
• Supply data and documentation for internal and external audits and for the Group finance department.
• Support other departments on accounting‑related queries.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Approximately 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international or structured environment.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping and accounts payable processes.
• High accuracy, reliability and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
• Fluent in Italian and good command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
