Junior Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

Stellantis is looking for a Junior Assistant Chief Engineer to support the development of diesel‑engine automotive products. You will work alongside senior engineers in a dynamic, international environment, contributing to cost, timing, performance, fuel‑efficiency, emissions and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate product development activities, including hardware, validation, testing and design changes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, quality, purchasing and suppliers.
• Assist in project documentation, tracking and reporting.
• Contribute to risk analysis and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Support technical reviews, validation activities and engineering change management.
• Promote sharing of best practices and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related engineering role.
• Fluent English and Italian (minimum B2 level).
• Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines.
• Understanding of automotive systems.
• Familiarity with product development processes.
• Awareness of quality standards and industrial processes.
