Junior Business Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Business Controller to join our finance team in Milan. You will work closely with senior controllers to support budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring, ensuring the financial health of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, guaranteeing data accuracy across systems.
• Participate in monthly closing activities, performing margin and variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Monitor business performance across channels and regions, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain cost‑saving trackers and performance dashboards.
• Prepare reports on sales campaigns and delivery performance.
• Manage intercompany transactions and ensure correct allocation of product and service flows.
• Support pricing analysis, tracking price positioning, discount dynamics and margin impact.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and respond to business requests with a proactive, problem‑solving approach.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics or a related field.
• 0.5–2 years of experience in a similar finance role within an international, structured organization.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
• Familiarity with Tagetik reporting system (advantageous).
