Junior Designer - Sportswear

About the role

Canali is seeking a Junior Designer to support its sportswear line within the menswear collection. The role combines creative research, material selection, and technical development to deliver high‑quality, on‑trend pieces that reflect the brand’s heritage of Italian luxury.

Key responsibilities

• Research, create and develop moodboards that inspire the sportswear collection.
• Assist in the development of collections, ensuring alignment with stylistic guidelines.
• Support material and component selection, including fabrics and accessories.
• Conduct garment fitting, analyse defects and implement corrections.
• Monitor collection progress against predefined timelines.
• Style lookbooks and visual presentations.
• Help produce technical sheets and presentation materials for the Commercial Department.

Required profile

• Degree in Fashion Design with at least 2 years of experience as a fashion designer, preferably in menswear.
• Strong knowledge of men’s pattern‑making fundamentals.
• Excellent freehand drawing ability.
• Passion for the menswear and sportswear market.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Proactive, organized, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines.
