Junior Process Engineer

About the role

Exide Technologies is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join its Italian manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will support the development and continuous improvement of production processes, gaining hands‑on experience on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
• Support installation, commissioning and upgrades of new equipment and production methods.
• Monitor process modifications and contribute to troubleshooting activities.
• Help define work instructions, process parameters and quality checkpoints.
• Collect, analyse and report production data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve process and production issues.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic or Materials Engineering.
• Up to 2 years of experience or internship in process/manufacturing engineering.
• Fluency in Italian and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong teamwork, proactivity and willingness to learn.
• Adaptability to a production environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced spreadsheet handling).
• Data collection and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment commissioning.
• Process troubleshooting.
