Junior Software Engineer (AI Legal Data)

About the role

Lexroom is building a world‑class AI product for the legal sector and needs a Junior Software Engineer to help expand and maintain its legal database. You will work on web‑scraping, backend pipelines, and data processing that power generative AI solutions for lawyers across Italy, Germany and Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web scrapers using Python and Scrapy.
• Collaborate with Legal Engineers to translate legal‑domain requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and sustain backend systems and data pipelines that support legal data and NLP algorithms.
• Develop internal tools and APIs to enable scalable integration of AI models.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 0–3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Italian and English with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Python

• FastAPI or Django
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) – nice to have
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools and NLP pipelines – nice to have
